Sauteed Mushrooms with Shallot & Lemon Juice

Side Dish

A magic flavor comes from sauteed mushrooms with finely chopped shallot and a finish of a little bit of lemon juice. This side dish does not need a lot of additions to be perfect, what it does need is protection. Protection from being eaten straight out of the pan.

You could add some cream, garlic or herbs to make minor additions and still have the core flavor of the mushrooms. And of course other additions are fine as well, whatever you may prefer. I’m just saying that sauteed mushrooms do not need much be perfect.
