A speculaasje is a traditional Dutch cookie, and requires a mixture of spices that you'll probably have in your pantry right now. This Speculaas Spice Mix is often referred to as a cookie spice mix.

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom

Instructions

  • Whisk all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Pour the mixture in a airtight container and label.
  • Store in your spice drawer or pantry.

Notes

  1. If you like a little more spiciness you can add 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper.
