These Strawberry Oat Macadamia Bars are very easy to make; just three layers and then in the oven. They are very fruity, crunchy and have a nice dense chewy base.

Ingredients
Simple Strawberry Jam
1poundstrawberry
1/4cupsugar
1lemon
1ounceblackberry
Dough
1.5cupsall-purpose flour
3/4cupsteel cut oats
1/2cupmacadamia nuts
3/4cupsbuttermelted
3/4cupssugar
1/3cupbrown sugar
1teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Simple Strawberry Jam
Wash and chop the strawberries. Transfer strawberries, juice from the lemon and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 30-45 minutes and stir frequently. Push strawberries against side of the pan and 'mash' a little. Cook until mixture thickens a little. Take off the heat and add blackberries (whole).
Dough
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line a 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
Pulse macadamia nuts in food processor until coarse. Mix nuts with all other dry ingredients.You'll end up with a crumbly dough.
Press half of dough in baking pan and press down.
Poor strawberry-blackberry mixture on dough and divide rest of dough crumbles over fruit mixture.
Place pan in oven and bake about 50 minutes or until golden brown.
